ALFONSO'S ISSUES

I WILL FIGHT FOR WHAT MATTERS TO PRECINCT 3 FAMILIES, COMMUNITIES, AND BUSINESSES

PUBLIC SAFETY AND COURTS

As your County Commissioner for Precinct 3, I will be focused on reducing crime instead of filling our over populated jails. I will work with community partners to implement a progressive and comprehensive approach aimed to reduce violent crime, offer rehabilitation to those in need, increase public safety presence in communities and schools, work with our Judges to enhance the court system and processes, and help families build a better future. There also needs to be an established feeling of safety in the community. It is the responsibility of the Commissioners to ensure our Deputies receive adequate staffing, resources, and funding to protect our families; I will fight for them and for you.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Working together as your County Commissioner for Precinct 3, I will improve the health of our families and community by investing in education, community programs, and by increasing everyone's access to better jobs and transportation. Everybody has the right to quality health care and mental health care; I will fight to make sure there is access for everyone and no one gets left behind, especially our children and veterans.

TRANSPORTATION AND GROWTH

Transportation, capital improvement, and community projects should address the fundamental needs of Precinct 3 and Bexar County. Selection of projects and funding should work with the growth of the County and surrounding areas. As County Commissioner, I plan to seek input from the residents and business owners to include them in planning. As growth in Bexar County continues to increase, we need to develop and improve our infrastructure to accurately plan our future.

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY AND PROPERTY TAXES

Our community should always know first hand where their tax dollars are spent. As a business owner who knows the demands of meeting payroll, overhead, and who has created jobs, I do have years of business experience necessary in managing and balancing a budget. Every year, as a business and property owner, like the residents of Precinct 3, I also receive my property tax statements showing property values with unrealistic increases. The residents of Precinct 3 suffer the burden and responsibility to fight for their rightsan too often, many don't know or understand their rights. I plan to make sure our Appraisal District is held accountable.
